Dental Technology

Dentistry has been made a lot simpler by the use of many extra technologies. Many of the extra services available allow us to offer a more comfortable and effective visit. Read on to learn about our practice technologies.

Intra-Oral Camera

An intra-oral camera allows us to view a specific area of your tooth with magnification.

We can also display and record details to assist with diagnosis. This tool has become a valuable addition to our practice.

Still images can be stored so that we can compare changes at each of your examinations; they can also be printed and emailed if necessary.

Happy Gas

Happy gas, also known as Nitrous Oxide inhalation is a perfect option if you are anxious or nervous about dental treatment.

This short-term relaxant is ideal for dental treatment as the effects are only felt whilst you inhale the gas, once your treatment is complete you will feel completely normal with no lingering effects.

Happy gas gives you a floaty feeling of relaxation and calm.

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays can be viewed almost instantly as there is no film processing required and emit up to 80% less radiation than traditional x-rays, so they are also safer for you and our staff.

Digital X-rays allow us to provide a more efficient appointment and as they can be contrast adjusted, they ensure accurate diagnosis.

This image is seen on a screen, which makes it easier to show and explain to you any tooth or gum problem.

Computerised Records

Our practice is fully computerised and equipped to handle all administrative requirements. This allows us, after your consultation, to provide you with printed treatment plans and price estimates before you leave the practice. This will help you make an informed decision on your ongoing dental health care.
